We hosted a client event at Twin Islands Retreat Lodge and it was amazing! The island is tranquil, the property is beautiful, the interior furnishings have a bespoke but cozy feeling, and the scenery is majestic and showcases a slightly different view than the Sitka side. Our event included a tasty lunch, cold plunging, hot tubbing and the sauna. All of it was perfect. Thank you Merri and Larry for your hospitality! I wish I could give you 10 stars!
We had the privilege to spend a week at this beautiful retreat. It was like a little piece of heaven. You couldn't ask for any better host. Larry and Merri made us Texans feel right at home. Merri is a fantastic cook and Larry is a top notched captain on his boat. We were blessed to catch many fish, make lifelong friends and fellowship together. We will definitely be back. They made us feel like family. We highly recommend this place for doing what you love. The rooms were exceptional even though we spent most of our time outdoors. Whale watching was a big bonus aso. My boyfriend and I spent Christmas at the Twin Islands Retreat, and words cannot fully capture how incredible our experience was! Merri and Larry were AMAZING hosts, From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with such warmth and kindness…they felt like family. Merri’s cooking alone is reason enough to visit..Every meal was not just delicious, but made with so much care and attention to detail that we felt completely spoiled!! She puts love into everything she makes…and trust me, you can taste it!! It was my first time in Sitka, AK., The setting was beyond breathtaking—picture perfect views in every direction..it looked like something you’d see on a Postcard! We woke up to eagles soaring past our window, spotted a seal from our room, and even got to watch a boat show from the island…We spent so much time just staring out the windows, saying things like, “This is amazing!” and “How cool is this? …The ocean is right outside our window!!!” Every part of our stay was absolutely perfect…our room was not only comfortable, but also elegant and beautiful, with every detail thoughtfully put together. If I could give this place 10 out of 5 stars, I would! Merri and Larry, Thank You for your incredible hospitality and for making our trip unforgettable…We can’t wait to come back!
Five stars is not enough to say how amazing Twin Islands Lodge is. My wife and I spent 4 days and started with our checked bag being lost by the airline. This is normally a huge problem for a trip, but we were saved by our hosts providing us with all the toiletries we could ever need, and brand new swimming suit, and hiking shoes for my wife to borrow. All stuff we had brought but was stuck in a different part of the state. The level of detail put into designing the lodge was amazing and everything was spotless. Everywhere you look is breathtaking views, and drinking your morning coffee from your room makes you wish you could do that everyday of your life. The food was incredible as well. You'd swear Merri was a Michelin star chef. She and Larry are just the most wonderful and accommodating hosts and you will not regret a stay at Twin Islands Lodge.
The most amazing trip we have ever been on!!! I have been there 3 times now and each visit has truly been unique and memorable. Breathtaking views from every room, comfortable cozy beds, exquisite food and service. Owners Merri and Larry are amazing hosts. The detail and the care that is put into your stay is above 5 star!!!! Our boating excursions were very exciting! Whales, Sea Lions, Eagles, Otters and a grizzly bear catching and eating salmon. You are in good hands at Twin Island Lodge! a guaranteed great time. Good memories...Cant wait to get back there!
Lets talk about MAGIC. That is exactly what Twin Islands is! It's MAGIC. I have never felt so pampered, and so welcomed. The meals are not only gourmet but the table setting are stunning. The staff is kind, fun and very accommodating. They always make us feel like family! The cabins are fabulous and very comfortable, with a view to die for! Breathtaking sunrises and sunsets from all over the Island. The hot tub or sauna, with a nice cold dip, is the most relaxing way to end your day. Not only are we return customers, but life long friends. Thank you Meri and Larry for all that you do to make everyone feel so special.
Twin Islands Retreat was incredible! The quick 5-minute boat ride from downtown Sitka was so easy (thank you, Larry!), and Merri's delicious food, gracious hosting, and attention to detail were off the charts. Can't wait to go back!
